Negative feedback rating

This is my only negative feedback.
Has anyone else experienced negative feedback without ever being contacted?
What about negative feedback when they say they like two out of three items you sold them?
I left the buyer a positve feedback first.
The item was received 2 days after the auction ended.
Post your unfair negatives and the mean spirited buyers who left them!

I've never recieved a negative feedback....but did recieve a netrual before - and I was "devastated" at the time. From now on - I won't leave feedback first - I wait for the buyer to leave theirs for me.......then I leave feedback......that way if they're an asshole - I still have some leverage.

Like Sister I never received negative feedback and felt horrible when I received a neutral; I had left positive feedback for this buyer (who was also new to ebay and left neutrals for lots of buyers).
Since my neutral fb, I don't leave feedback for buyers first and instead I wait for buyers to leave fb first for the reason Sister mentioned. -

Mon, November 7, 2005 - 7:12 AMI have been lucky enough not to receive any negs as yet, but I did get a "positive" once which read like a neg. In it, the person slammed my work. I had already left positive for them and now usually wait to leave FB till I know they have received the item and are happy. Before I always left a positive as soon as they paid.

Mon, November 7, 2005 - 10:13 AMI have actually not purchased items when I read Sellers brutal feedback policies. The "I am not leaving feedback until you do" takes away from the focus of the transaction and the service we are providing. I see it as a buyer walking into my store and us saying that we will not thank you until you say it first.
Feedback is essential to the sellers integrity and trust. There has to be a better way! I suggest ebay offer dispute resolution for negative feedback. With a mediator the truth comes out. Ebay offers this in extreme cases but falls short in day to day transactions. -

Tue, November 8, 2005 - 6:42 AMI understand your feelings Roadie, but getting eBay to do anything constructive is like pulling dragon's teeth. (Not that your shouldn't suggest it to eBay - just don't hold your breath.) I used to leave feedback first, too. But after hearing about other sellers bad experiences, I now wait till they get the artwork and leave feedback for me. In fact, I mention in my thank you card, that they leave me feedback to let me know the artwork arrived safely and they are pleased. So far the customers have been fine with that.
